Greater Yamhill County U.S. Semiquincentennial Celebration
The Greater Yamhill County U.S. Semiquincentennial Celebration honors 250 years of American independence, civic responsibility, and service. The event highlights the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the hard-fought Revolutionary War that secured our freedom, connecting those historic acts of courage to the continuing service and sacrifices of veterans who have defended that freedom ever since.
Through the morning ceremony and parade, the event emphasizes patriotism and civic pride, honoring those who have served to protect the liberties first declared in 1776. Afternoon family activities and historical reenactments will promote education and engagement with American history, helping children and community members better understand the founding principles of our nation.
