The Sounds of Liberty Program celebrates the Declaration of Independence, the Liberty Bell, and the ideals they represent. Join the Sons of the American Revolution for a reading of the Declaration of Independence, followed by ringing the Liberty Bell replica located on the grounds of the Oregon State Capitol in honor of the original 13 colonies that became the United States of America. The bell will ring at 11am, which will coincide with similar ceremonies elsewhere in all time zones across our nation.

The event will take place outdoors at the Liberty Bell replica on the grounds of the Oregon State Capitol, east of the capitol building at the intersection of Waverly and Court Street NE. Please bring your own seating (lawn chairs, folding chairs).
