Adult Lecture USCG Cutter Eagle: The Legacy of the Coast Guard’s Flagship
Join the Columbia River Maritime Museum on August 25 for an illustrated talk by author Will Sofrin on USCG Cutter Eagle and the legacy of the Coast Guard’s flagship. Sofrin traces Eagle’s origins in Nazi Germany, its postwar transfer to the United States, and its enduring role as America’s sail training ship. Drawing on archival material, firsthand accounts, and visual storytelling, the program explores how leadership and character are forged through responsibility and risk at sea. This event is included in regular museum admission.
