National Endowment for the Arts — Grants for Arts Projects

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Grants for Arts Projects program supports public-facing arts and cultural activities that strengthen communities, expand engagement with the arts, and celebrate creative expression as part of the nation’s semiquincentennial.

Projects may include performances, exhibits, festivals, arts education, design, literature, and other arts-based programming. Awards generally range from $10,000 to $100,000, and applications are accepted for two FY 2027 deadlines: February 12, 2026, and July 9, 2026.

Visit the NEA website for details on eligibility and how to apply.

Oregon 250 Grant Program

Program Update: Thank you to everyone who submitted funding applications to the Oregon 250 Grant Program. We received massive interest, and have closed applications for this second and final funding cycle. Grant requests are currently under review, and applicants can expect to hear back on the status of their application soon.

The America 250 Oregon Commission is excited to announce the Oregon 250 Grant Program, supporting projects that commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. This grant program helps organizations create inclusive, community-focused projects that highlight Oregon’s diverse histories, traditions, and cultures.

Eligible organizations — including nonprofits, local governments, public schools, universities, colleges, and federally recognized tribes in Oregon — may apply for grants of up to $3,000. Funding can support events, exhibitions, educational programming, collections development, research, and interpretation. Projects must align with the mission of America 250 Oregon and one or more of its seven guideposts, which range from honoring veterans and celebrating Oregon’s landscapes to elevating cultural traditions and fostering civic engagement.

A total of $100,000 in funding is available, with 50% dedicated to rural communities. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible projects, with two funding cycles:

  • Cycle 1: September 15–November 1, 2025
  • Cycle 2: January 5–March 1, 2026

The grant period runs through June 30, 2027. Access the grant report form here.

No match is required, and funds may be used for staffing, equipment, materials, promotion, and other direct project costs.
