Jon Lee in concert with Robbie Law

Jon Lee is fourth-generation Chinese American musician and storyteller whose songs explore the people, places, and histories of the Pacific Northwest.

He loves to share his music with any listening audience. Memorable gigs have taken him to the Liberty Theatre in Astoria, the Wallowa County Courthouse, the French Glenn Hotel, the Matlock Grange Hall, and the Oregon State Penitentiary, with numerous festivals, coffee houses, bars, and house concerts along the way.

Musical source points include Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Brothers, Rodney Crowell and Emmylou. Musical inspiration comes from night skies, moving water, endearing daughters, enduring friendships, black coffee, slow food, sharp steel, straight grain. He has recorded four albums of handcrafted, locally-sourced, mostly organic songs.

Jon Lee will be performing songs from his Chinaman’s Chance album on July 3, at 6:00pm in John Day.
