The Oregon Chinese Diaspora Project is an award-winning, multi-agency statewide collaboration that uses community archaeology and public history to uncover the stories of Chinese communities across Oregon. The project has investigated railroad and mining camps, Chinatowns, and more.

In this presentation, Chelsea Rose will share recent findings from ongoing research, including investigations into the lives of Chinese American cowboys, early gold camps, and Pendleton’s vibrant Chinese community.
