The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center (NHOTIC) welcomes Doug Hansen and members of his team from Hansen Wagon and Wheel for an onsite assessment of the covered wagons in the Interpretive Center collection. Hansen Wagon and Wheel, from Letcher, South Dakota, will travel to Baker City and will be onsite to assess the ten wagons in the Interpretive Center’s collection.

Museum professionals, curators, and museum volunteers are invited to follow along with the Hansen Wagon Team and observe their assessment of each wagon in the collection. The goal is to show other museum professionals the unique talents of Hansen Wagon so they can better understand the wooden vehicles in their own collections. Doug Hansen and his staff will also do a free wheelwright demonstration at Oregon Trail Days on June 13 in Geiser Pollman Park.
